Blogs

I really love the blogs of Adrienne. Happily for me she has links to some of her friends and I am able to catch up with them as well. Jessica has intersting information about her two beautiful children and her life in Japan. Thank you.

ANZAC DAY

Today is Anzac Day.
Anzac Day in Australia is becoming more and more important. It is amazing how many people are honouring the memory of our brave men who sacrificed their lives for us in the many wars, especially Gallipoli. In 1999 Tony and myself went to Gallipoli. It was not something we had ever aspired to do but it was such an emotional trip. When you go around the graves of the young men, some as young as 16 years old it is very awe inspiring. People who have visited the graves and the area quite often tell of the tears they shed, I will put myself in that category.
Lest we forget.
When I logged into Google today it was lovely to see that Google had used a poppy as one of the o's.

Eyes

I took a couple of photos of my eyes. The one with plaster was taken on Saturday and the other one today. As I can't see them properly it was interesting to me to have a photo. I must say I am not all that impressed with the end result, but perhaps there is swelling to go down and they may be better in time. Also the muscles have to be tweeked and that may make a difference. Actually if I can see reasonably well again I think I can put up with looking a little strange.

Charlie and Sophie

While in Sydney Joe and Sandra went to the first soccer match of Charlie. Thought you might like to have a couple of photos
